I just finished reading your story about transforming fear into pleasure and courage, and I feel deeply moved. Truly. Your essay touched me in a profound way.
Seeing how you arrived at that turning point, how you faced obstacles, how you chose to step through fear instead of stepping back from it. it’s powerful. Not only because of the strength it shows, but because of the honesty and vulnerability with which you shared it.. Watching you move from fear to confidence and courage, has been a privilege.
I’m also incredibly grateful that you mentioned me in your story. Having this kind of feedback means more than you can imagine. It inspires me to keep growing, to keep showing up, and to commit even more deeply to the work I do. Moments like this remind me why I love what I do.
It’s truly beautiful to share such important milestones together. Thank you for trusting the process, for trusting yourself, and for allowing me to be part of your journey.
Thank you Davide. It was such pleasure to let go and trust the process knowing I was in great hands with you and the team of talented teachers. Your passion for surfing and the growth it offers comes across as the best kind of enthusiasm. Remember what I told you on our last night? It's cheesy but true--You all together are the lift that carries us newbie surfers into the great green wave.
Love hearing your CR surf story. At the camp, you seemed so fearless. I had not pushed myself so far outside my comfort zone in years. Your courage, strength helped me push forward into and through the “ impact” zone and catch my first ever wave. It was exhilarating. I agree - Davide’s way at reframing fear/ danger is game changer not only in surfing but in life! ❤️
What a powerful acronym that sits well with me today, and a beautiful story of closing the gap between your 24 year old self and you strong and reflective at 50.

Love you friend. So stoked we did it together and have a drone video of us catching a green wave side-by-side!

This was beautiful, Katie! I love the peek into more of your life in Oahu, and the reminder to seek out new challenges. Love you!

It was so powerful to learn it. Maybe it was the timing of it, or maybe the simplicity of it, but it stuck with me.

It stuck with me as it was easy to remember and resonated as truth!
